2025 – 2026 / iOS App / Derek Hu
A social productivity app built from scratch — focus sessions made visible, accountable, and worth sharing.
Project Overview
Locki is a consumer-facing productivity app built entirely from scratch. I owned product design, engineering, and iteration end-to-end — from first wireframe to shipped MVP.
The core idea: make focused work visible. Instead of solo productivity tools that live in a vacuum, Locki adds a social layer — your work sessions become posts, your consistency builds a streak, and your output earns you a spot on the leaderboard.
Core Features
Stopwatch-based session timer with start, pause, and end controls. Every session is logged with duration and timestamp, building a personal history of focused work.
Completed sessions auto-generate shareable posts to a social feed. Your grind becomes content — motivating both you and the people watching your consistency.
Daily streak system that rewards consistency. Miss a day and the streak resets — a simple mechanic that adds just enough pressure to keep users coming back.
Weekly and all-time rankings based on total session time. Turns personal productivity into friendly competition — making the effort feel visible and worth celebrating.
